St. Lou BBQ was established in 2011 by Kurtis White, who was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, home of some of the world's best BBQ . Using the traditional tried and true process of low and slow smoking, with just the right blend of seasonings, spices, heat, and smoke we create what real BBQ should taste like.

Kurtis White - Born and raised in one of the 5 BBQ capitals of the United states, I was raised on BBQ. From early in life I found a undying passion for food, and BBQ topped the list. I was brought up on four things; respect others, friends and family last a lifetime, love the Cardinals, and eat good BBQ. That's what every good Missourian has in common. When it comes to BBQ everyone has at least one pit in thier backyard. The greatest memories in life are shared in the backyard, with the old radio playing the cardinals game, the sound of washers bouncing off the rim of a wooden box, the smell of sweet smoke in the air, and a ice cold beer in my hand. Friends, family, and neighbors all gather, waiting and laughing over good food and great times. BBQ to me is more than just a meal or a great tasting plate of food, it is a love and experience. The time honored tradition passed from generation to the next the low and slow process of breaking down the meat to make a tough cut so tender it almost dissolves in your mouth. Being able to properly season a pork shoulder, rack of ribs, or a chicken quarter and give it the exact amount of heat and smoke to develop flavor and texture, but not dry it out or over power the meat, is more than cooking, it truly is the greatest art I have ever witnessed.
